Our cream teas are pure poetry

Old Church By Charlotte Reynolds

If you go down to The Lee for tea
On any Sunday starting at 3,
You will find that we can bake
The most perfect slice of cake,
With scones and jam on a plate
And a cup of tea will be just great.

So don’t delay, come find your way

To the Old Church where you just may
Meet friends and neighbours young and old
And hear the news and gossip told.
So don’t resist, come sip and munch,
Visit us after lunch!
Come and see for yourself that The Lee parish bakers and brewers can make a far superior effort than this! Cream teas are every Sunday in July and August from 3 pm – 5 pm at The Lee Old Church behind our Parish Church of St John the Baptist. All are very welcome – strollers, walkers, bikers or hikers young and old. Be there or be hungry!

Please note: no cream teas on Sunday 16th July.
