The Lee W.I.By Joyce Swain
The Lee W.I. met on June 13th at the Parish Hall and we welcomed several visitors. After dealing with county matters the president asked for contributions for the Flower Show stall and raffle. June Lock is hoping to arrange an outing to a herb farm and garden at Sonning Common on August 15th.
We then enjoyed a wonderful talk on “the language of flowers”, illustrated by beautiful arrangements, from Mrs Pat Trunkfield. We saw a Victorian centrepiece, an orchid arrangement and a bridal display built up. Lucky raffle-winners took them home!
