flower show The Lee W.I. news
By Joyce Swain

The Lee W.I. met on the 12th September at The Parish Hall. We heard with sadness of the death of Brenda Ricket, a long time member.

Members are attending the ‘Classical Spectacular’, and an evening with Stella Rimington, and of course, the Bucks Federation’s council meeting.

June Lock has arranged a theatre outing for December at Windsor theatre for members, and members are also due to attend the group meeting.

The treasurer, June Pearce, was happy with the financial situation; the stall at the Flower Show and the strawberry tea at the home of Gill Holland were very successful and have ensured a good bank balance.

June Lock was thanked for arranging our summer outing to the herb farm at Sonning Common, a most enjoyable day.

We were then entertained by the Belmont Duo, evoking the Victorian era in words and music, a very pleasant interlude. The usual delicious tea sent us all home happy!
