A keyboard soirée with a difference at The Old Church By John Fortgang He entertained us with his amazing electronic keyboard, so that the Old Church sounded as if it contained a whole variety of instruments. Gordon played a range of pieces from Bach to Gershwin, managing to make it sound as if it he had brought an entire orchestra with him. He even played duets, at one point finishing before himself. His playing was interspersed with his usual informative and amusing asides. The whole evening was greatly enjoyed by everyone there. Incidentally, please note that the next event, the Fayrfax Consort, is now on the 10th December, not the 3rd, as they were double booked. |
