'Chocolat’ comes to Potter Row

Chocolate lovers will be delighted to hear that their favourite treat is now being made right on the doorstep. Artisan Chocolatier, Alison Jarvis has set up Toucan Chocolate Organic from her home at Silver Birches in Potter Row.
Her delicious truffles are completely handmade and totally organic. “Becoming a Chocolatier gave me the opportunity to combine my creative skills with my love of chocolate and also to produce a special treat that was better for us and the environment” says Alison who gave up her City-based job to bring up her young family and train as a Chocolatier. “We have a strong ethical policy and so we buy as much fair-trade organic raw materials as possible and all our packaging comes from sustainable or recycled sources”.
As well as classic chocolate flavours like vanilla, cognac and orange, some of the more exotic tastes in the exclusive Toucan range include honey and cumin, and nutmeg. In addition, Alison makes wedding favours and there is also a special organic children’s range.
