Life – what do we do with it?
By Judy Hart

This Lent, five parishioners from The Lee are bravely volunteering to share with you their personal stories about their life and their Christian faith. Talking honestly about one’s faith is never easy as inevitably it means referring to the difficult times as well as the good times in one’s life. However each week we will be treated to someone attempting to do just this as they share their life story. Everyone’s life is different but we hope that these sessions will show how being a Christian has had an influence in their lives and will stimulate you to think about your own life and what you do with it.

There will be five meetings and you are welcome to come to all of them, or just one, or as many as you can make. They will all be held at Lee Common Methodist Church from 8 pm till 9 pm. The dates and speakers are as follows:
  • Monday 26th Feb led by Gilly Hafner. Gilly has lived in The Lee for nine years and has been helping with the Sunday School of St John the Baptist The Lee for the last eight years.
  • Monday 5th March led by Marion and Gerald Tomkins who have lived in Sly Corner for 18 years and are members of Lee Common Methodist Church.
  • Monday 12th March led by Joan Johnson. Joan has lived in The Lee for 10 years and is a regular member of St John the Baptist Church The Lee
  • Monday 19th March led by Derek Larmour who has lived in Chartridge for 12 years and has been a sidesman at St John the Baptist The Lee for two years.
  • Monday 26th March led by Allan Whittow who has lived at Kings Ash for 20 years and there aren’t many jobs at St John the Baptist The Lee that Allan hasn’t done.
