Sri Lanka pre-school update
By Tim HartIn November we visited Sri Lanka and saw the pre-school that many of you have contributed to funding. At that time it was virtually complete, with only final internal fitting-out remaining. By the time you read this we hope that it will be open for the beginning of the new school year.
On Sunday 25th February we invite you to the Parish Hall at 3 pm to see the video and photos we took in Sri Lanka including both The Lee pre-school and St Leonards pre-school, which was opened last year, and hear how the project is progressing.
Lee Common School collected over £370 for this project at their Christmas plays. This is the annual salary of a teacher and we are aiming to raise more money to pay for the second teacher and some equipment.
So come along on 25th February for tea, learn about and see the project and make a donation towards its success.
