Trip
to Wembley StadiumBy Julian Swain I play football for Prestwood Panthers F.C. Our goalkeeper, Michael Withers’s dad works for Multiplex and arranged for us to go to Wembley Stadium. Multiplex hired a bus for us and we drove into London. When we got into Wembley the stadium looked huge! The bus parked underneath the stadium where the players’ buses will park. We could see the tunnel but unfortunately didn’t go into it. We took a lift onto the level with the stand doors, walked out and the sight was amazing; we went right to the top and could see the pitch and all the seats, there are 90,000! Next we went into the Royal Box, first into the business room, with comfy sofas and great views of the pitch. Then we went into The Queen’s social room, it’s probably bigger than the pitch. After that we went into the royal restaurant, which is HUGE! Then we went to the players’ dressing rooms, we each sat in the box with our shirt number on it. We took our jumpers and trousers off (because we had our kit on underneath) and went out to the pitch (but not on it) and had our pictures taken! As we got back on the bus we realised how lucky we were. |
