Editor or team? By John Fortgang

As I write this, summer appears to have preceded spring this year, which is as good a link as any for one of the themes of this month’s Newsletter, a little-known television series called ‘Midsomer Murders’.

One or two of you may have detected the presence of a film crew on the village green recently. This is all about ‘Death in a Chocolate Box’, which may or may not have anything to do with the description of the area, although our bodycount is probably below average. I hope you enjoy all the useful snippets of information about the series, which will enable you to hold your own in any polite society.

The cricket nets saga continues to excite passions as you will see from some of our letters.

In general the various articles, letters etc. show that life in our villages continues at whirlwind pace, so you must make sure your diaries are always kept fully up to date or you’ll miss the one thing you were looking forward to – in particular the Church Fête, on the 16th June, as Catherine Larmour’s article confirms.

Viv Robins is Controller of the Newsletter next month.
