It’s the street of shameOK its real name might be Potter Row, but no-one could argue that this new moniker doesn’t suit it better. The road probably has more potholes in it than any other in The Lee (Leather Lane would be a strong contender, if it weren’t in the parish of Great Missenden). Even when the council comes to patch up the holes it’s often done in a thoroughly slapdash way, which means it can take only a couple of hard frosts to open them up again.
So the pothole seems to be a fact of life, not just in Potter Row but in many other parts of the parish. But does it HAVE to be that way? This Newsletter no longer thinks so!
