On Thursday 10th May the Missenden Wine Society is hosting an evening at The Lee Parish Hall when master of wine Maggie McNie will deliver part two of her History of Wine. Part one, which covered the period up until the Roman Empire, was a big success last year – no doubt boosted by the chance to sample various wines by way of illustration. This time Maggie will be talking about wines from Roman times to the present day, with no fewer than nine available for tasting.
The cost (which also includes cheese and biscuits, plus coffee afterwards) is £6 to members and £11 to non-members. All are welcome. For more information please contact me on 774557.
