FortgangAs promised, we sent a copy of the last Newsletter to Cllr Letheren, the transport portfolio holder at Bucks CC, and reserved space for her reply to the questions we raised. She telephoned to say she had received it and would let us have a reply. Unfortunately although her office was aware of the deadline as we went to press no reply had been received so perhaps the space on page 3 says it all…
It’s not Reina’s fault that her reference to April’s drought seems a bit historic; she wrote it for the last Newsletter but lack of space prevented us from publishing it then.
Sadly, we will be losing our founder Editor for six years and general Newsletter mover and shaker, Viv Robins at the end of this year. A full valediction will appear in due course; in the meantime Viv has penned a Long Goodbye. If there is anybody out there who fancies a go at editing a successful, widely read and influential newspaper with a slick, progressive editorial team please let us know.
Material for said journal to be lodged for September (no issue in August) with Viv on behalf of our guest Editor Gilbert Nockles, by 14th August please.
