By Annie Smith Last month the LCSA organised their first ever Spring Fair, inviting many local businesses to sell their wares in addition to offering children’s games, face painting and a bouncy castle. As always, delicious home made cakes went down well as well as a glass of refreshing Pimms and a barbecue. The weather was looking a little unpredictable, but the afternoon turned out to be a glorious one. The playground looked extremely colourful and was made even more so as the maypole dancers ‘took to the stage’. We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who supported this event. A staggering £1,700 was raised towards LCSA funds. The children will have completed an educational whole school trip to the Chiltern Open Air Museum by the time you read this and will no doubt be looking forward to their long summer holiday. We wish all of the year 2 children well as they move on to their next schools in September and hope that they will hold very happy memories of their first school days at Lee Common School. Please continue to visit and support the LCSA’s website – www.leecommonpta.org. If you regularly order on line from M & S, Amazon or other leading retailers, the school will benefit if you order via www.buy.at/LCSA. Thank you for your support. |
