The Lee W.I. met at the Parish Hall on 10th July. June Lock gave us an interesting account of the AGM of Women’s Institutes at the Albert Hall. Mrs Owen then entertained us with a talk on ‘Healthy Eating’, making it very amusing and providing us with useful tips. She approved of our tea!
At the Flower Show, we had a very successful raffle and a stall of homemade goodies.
On 1st August we enjoyed a Ploughman's Lunch in Tricia Usborne’s delightful garden in beautiful sunshine.
Finally don’t forget to make a date in your diary for the next meeting which is on 11th September at 2 pm when we will have a talk by Mr. Neil Riles on ‘The Czech Connection’.
