Coffee morning boosts cancer relief fundsBy Trish Swain
Along with hundreds of others in the country on Friday 28th September, family, friends and neighbours in the village became part of the ‘Create a Big Stir’ for Macmillan Cancer Support’s ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’.
It was a wonderful opportunity to catch up with everyone in a convivial atmosphere (and get out of the rain), buy cards, jewellery, homemade cakes and preserves and support a great cause.
Over £870 was raised, so thanks to you all for your generosity, and special thanks to Colin and Annie Smith for opening up their home.
