Church to aid Angolan orphanageBy Marian Tomkins
Lee Common Methodist Church will be holding its Christmas Coffee morning on Saturday 1st December from 10:30 am until 12:00 noon. Everyone is welcome.
There will be refreshments and stalls with Christmas gifts, cakes and preserves for sale. There will also be Corry’s Corner with toys for sale and a lucky dip.
This year the Methodist Church plans to support the work of the Saint Isabel children’s charity, which runs an orphanage and various community projects in Luanda, Angola. As part of this there will be a stall selling embroidered items made by some of the older children in the orphanage and by ladies in the local community.
