By Alison Weir The annual family Harvest Thanksgiving Service took place on 7th October led by Revd David Burgess. The Lee Church was awash with an abundance of autumn colours. Thank you to everyone who gave their time and talent to decorate the church so colourfully. The Bring and Share Harvest Lunch held at the Parish Hall, Lee Common, was enjoyed by all and raised £409. All proceeds will go to The Lee Church. Third Thursday By June Lock Our Third Thursday Christmas afternoon tea celebration will again be hosted by Mrs Jenny Senior at Mulberry Lodge on the 18th December from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Please note that this event takes place on a Tuesday. All are welcome to partake of the delicious sandwiches and Christmas Fayre provided by the village ladies. The traditional raffle and bring and buy stall will tempt money from our pockets. The proceeds will be given, at the request of our host, to St John the Baptist church. Admittance to this joyous event is £4.50. Jenny would welcome a phone call on 01494 837757 if you would like to come. This is a ticketed occasion. |
