Debbie TolputtThe local building company William Ash Ltd. has been voted ‘Master Builder of the Year’ for 2007 in the new house category awarded by The Federation of Master Builders. The nominations for these awards are proposed by clients who feel they have received excellent management and services in a new build. The property is later inspected by officials from the Federation and judged on the workmanship, finishes and attention to detail. This information is then collated and put before a panel of expert judges from the industry. Earlier in 2007, the company was declared the regional winner for the Greater London area and in December at a gala presentation at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, it was declared the national winner for the whole of the United Kingdom, seeing off stiff competition from other parts of England and Wales, Scotland and Ireland. The winning property was a £5.5 million mansion built in Chenies village over an 18 month programme. The
