navtivity Lee Common School
By Annie Smith

Our Christmas Fair was a fantastic success; we raised just over £3,800 – thank you for your very generous support.

During a busy autumn term the children visited the Elgiva Theatre to enjoy ‘The Wizard of Oz’; they sang carols at the village hall during a tea for the senior citizens; they enjoyed a Xmas party with a visit from Santa and also sang carols around the beautiful tree in the school, kindly donated by ‘Friendly Firs’.

As always they delighted parents, siblings, staff and the local community with their wonderful performances during their ‘Hopeless Camel’ Xmas play. Well done children! You were all brilliant!

Mrs Lawes, our Head Teacher, is asking the local community for their views on a possible change to the admissions in our nursery/reception class: Do you feel it would be beneficial for there to be only one intake of reception children and to give parents of the spring and summer born children the choice of whether or not to leave their children at school all day?

This would result in the school not taking nursery age children! Our admission number for reception would then be 24 children. If you have any comments, please put them in writing to the school office. Thank you.
