Our programme for 2008 started early with a musical evening entitled ‘Just a Song at Twilight’ performed by Ian McMillan, Quentin Pool and Winnie Souter.
Drawing on a variety of Victorian songs, ditties and ballads, the trio kept us all entertained, ending with some old favourites from Gilbert and Sullivan.
Our AGM is on Sunday 16th March at 7:30 pm and is to be followed by a talk by David Lee, formerly of the Met. Office, entitled ‘The Shackleton and Scott Antarctic Huts’.
