By Annie Smith Mrs Lawes, our Head Teacher, last month invited the views of the local community on a possible change to the admissions in our nursery/reception class. So far, we have received 14 replies, with 10 in agreement to the change and four who disagree. This feedback has been passed on to County. We have nothing further to report as yet The School Easter Service takes place on Tuesday 18th March, with the rehearsal the previous day at 9:30 am. If there are any volunteers who would be willing to help with walking the children to the church on the 17th March, the day of the rehearsal, your help would be very much appreciated. Please contact the school office on 837267. The school has begun working on Bucks Healthy School accreditation. The staff have taken an area each to develop and fulfil the criteria: Mrs Evans – Physical Activity; Mrs Blasor and Mrs Debono – Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE); Mrs Barton – Healthy Eating; Mrs Lawes – Social and Emotional Well-being. The more people we have on-board, the easier this will become. If you have any expertise, enthusiasm or interest in any of the above, please speak to the member of staff concerned or leave a message in the office. A working party for each would be fabulous. In addition, Mrs Barton has recently attended a School Travel Plan course. By developing a Travel Plan of our own with County’s support, we will tighten up and help our travel situation to and from school, plus the advantage of securing some funding. Mrs Barton would love to hear from you if you could help with time, expertise or enthusiasm regarding a travel plan. Mrs Barton was actively involved in a similar scheme as a parent at her own children’s school. Lastly, congratulations to the LCSA who organized a very successful and enjoyable Quiz Night, raising £800 for the school. Thank you for your support. Please continue to visit and support the LCSA’s website – www.leecommonpta.org. If you regularly order on line from M & S, Amazon or other leading retailers, the school will benefit if you order via www.buy.at/LCSA. Thank you for your support. We need a supervisor!
