Coffee morning makes a stir By Annie Smith
Soon after the children went back to school it was time to get planning, cleaning and organising in order to accommodate both stallholders and visitors for this year’s ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’. An extra bonus this time was that we also managed to redecorate and re-carpet our study so that we could offer mini-reiki treatments in relative privacy!! I say ‘relative’, as the window was without a blind, which has just arrived today!
We had another incredibly successful fund-raiser this year with the final total for Macmillan being £918.50. Trish Swain and I would like to say a very big Thank You to all of you for coming along to support us and buying cakes, preserves and raffle tickets and for your generous contributions for coffee. The jewellery, gifts, forever living products and card stalls were also well-supported, allowing generous donations to be made towards Macmillan.
Thanks also for the raffle prize donations in advance and on the day. These are also very much appreciated.
I do still have a child’s blue plastic drinking beaker which was left behind, if anyone would like to claim it!
