SLOW… Is this another sign…? On the back of Mike Senior’s protests re local, large and often luminous road signs, can anyone enlighten me as to the necessity of the large, bold, red sign outside the Cock and Rabbit, urging motorists to go slow?
As one enters this idyllic, charming village, one’s eye is instantly distracted by this permanent, ugly, roadside caution, which is incongruent with the surroundings.
Obviously, it is in everyone’s interest to heed the advice, but if it is considered necessary and permanent, perhaps it could it be a little more subtle?
I hope I am not offending anyone who has the best interests of the village at heart.
