Roving
supperBy Tony Lea I think it is fair to say that we all had a great time on Saturday night (15th November) and my thanks are due to a number of people. In total we had 80 people attend the Roving Supper this year, which is the largest number we have had in the six years of its existence. Particular thanks go to the Seniors, Mitchells, Spences, Taylors, Wises, Hurds, Usbornes and Carleton-Smiths for hosting a motley crew of Village People!! To all those who contributed canapés, desserts and raffle prizes many thanks as everyone helped to bring about a really successful evening. I guess I should also thank my wife Pat for all her hard work in organising the evening despite feeling unwell all week. If you didn’t attend this year then you missed out again so put the date in your diaries for next year – Saturday 14th November. |
