| Churches
together By Judy Hart During Lent there are two interesting talks being held at the Catholic Church Hall in Great Missenden. They are organised by Churches Together, which is a group of churches of all denominations in the Missenden/Prestwood area. The first on 5th March at 7:45 pm is entitled Living confidently in complexity and is given by Tim Ling, who works in the area of adult education and the training of ministers. The second is on 9th March at 7:45 pm: The Story of a 21st Century Bible for households, communities and the world given by Keith White, whose speciality is child care and who is leader of a residential community which cares for children in the East End of London. Churches Together also joins in a Women’s World Day of Prayer which this year is on Friday 6th March at Holy Trinity, Prestwood at 10:30 am to which all are welcome. Each year a different country plans the service and everybody else just follows the format. This year it is the turn of Papua New Guinea, which should make for an interesting service. |
