The two Lent Talks, heralded in February’s Newsletter, are run by Churches Together, whose membership includes The Lee Churches. Our two experienced speakers’ careers span both the theory and practice of Christian life: Tim Ling started in the Metropolitan Police and now trains bishops; Keith White started by running a London children’s home, becoming an authority on child welfare and has recently published a Bible with the language and notes to make it easily readable by everyone.
The talks are on Thursday 5th and Monday 9th March at 7:30 pm in the Great Missenden Roman Catholic Church, which you can reach from the Link Road car park by a tall wooden gate right past the minister’s house. The formal talk will last perhaps 40 minutes, followed by a chance for discussion over coffee.
