lee forum Forum puts The Lee on-message
By Andrew Burnett and Colin Sully

Last year, at the height of the NATS debate, it was suggested that what The Lee needed was an on-line forum in which people could quickly and easily exchange information, ideas and opinions on this controversial topic.

Having looked at what other communities were doing and having tested out a few ideas, we are now pleased to launch The Lee Forum – an on-line discussion forum, which will enable those who live in The Lee and surrounding villages to go on-line and share information, ideas and opinions on local subjects of interest. Possible topics might include:
  •  the post-box consultation
  •  airspace issues
  •  requests for assistance
  •  minor items for sale or wanted
  •  updates on local events
  •  sharing local news or pictures
  •  security information (e.g. suspicious events).
The forum will not be used for any advertising of a commercial nature and only those living in or around the Parish (or exceptionally having some other valid connection) will be given access.

To use the forum, you first register your details using the links on the website. You will be asked to confirm the information supplied (essentially your name, address and e-mail). After ‘approval’ you can then search or view topics, post messages to existing topics and create new ones – just by clicking the appropriate links. You can also upload a picture with your message. In your ‘preferences’, you can opt to receive e-mails alerting you to new messages on any of the existing topics, or when a new topic is added.

To get started, simply click on The Lee Forum. Then at the bottom of the right-hand column click on ‘New user’ to start the registration process.

We hope this development will be of value to Newsletter readers and that you will enjoy the opportunities it provides. Of course, you can always use the forum to give feedback on… The Lee Forum!
