Clerk’s Corner
By Viv Robins, Clerk to the Parish Council

I thought it might be worth giving an up-to-date list of members of the Parish Council, since we now have a new member replacing the lamented (tho’ happily not late) John Fortgang: she is Michelle Patte, who has lived in the area with her family for more than 20 years and was particularly active at Lee Common School when her two sons were pupils there. The current Chairman of the Parish Council is John Ford and the Deputy Chairman Karel Lewis. Other members are Stan Carleton-Smith, Peter Hammond, Elizabeth Stacey (who is also a member of Chiltern District Council) and Barnaby Usborne. To get in touch with any of them please contact me in the first instance on 837278 or via e-mail at viv.robins@tinyworld.co.uk.

flooding Pot-holes worse than ever
The recent icy weather conditions have done little for the state of the local roads (although things are not yet quite as bad as suggested by our only slightly modified picture - right).

potholes One local resident who e-mailed Highways on Call on 1st February about three particularly dangerous potholes on Potter Row was infuriated to find his e-mail returned as a failed delivery. At the time of writing, more than a fortnight after this initial approach, no remedial work had yet been done.

Meanwhile tales of burst tyres and broken axles are becoming commonplace: when is Bucks County Council going to do a proper job on repairing these roads?
