fete The Fête season approaches
By Catherine Larmour

As you may already know, the date for the St John the Baptist Church fête is Saturday 20th June on The-Lee Green as usual (by kind permission of Mrs Stewart-Liberty). And what a fête it is going to be this year, with all the old favourite stalls and games, plus rumours of somewhat less sedate goings-on in the shape of a tug-of-war competition.

If you would like to nail your colours to the mast, as it were, then get down to The Cock and Rabbit or The Old Swan and register your interest in taking part. More details next month.

msm filming This year we are fortunate to have the Midsomer Murders Society in our midst at the fête. As you may have read in the February Newsletter, 20th June coincides with the fan club’s annual convention, and it hopes to join in the fun and games on the green as it pays homage to the location, known better to them as Badgers Drift.

In next month’s Newsletter, we’ll give details of collection points for all the vital stuff we need donated. In the meantime, if you are able to provide us with a raffle prize, then please contact Tim Hart on 837328. Or if you would like to help out in any way at all on the day, then please ring Catherine Larmour on 837309, Pam Batty on 863275 or Rachel Rolfe on 837557 – offers of help are always appreciated. Many thanks.
