Leeside Nursery School
By Suzanne Beaney

We are at the end of another busy term and the children have been learning new songs which they sang to their mums and one dad at our coffee morning and Easter hat parade.

easter bonnet The children brought in a hat which they had helped to make at home for the parade and they had made one for their mums to wear at the nursery. It was amazing what different ideas the mums had come up with – they all made a very colourful parade.

For Mothering Sunday the children made chocolate sweets and decorated boxes to put them in and also made a card; they threaded wool through the holes all around the edges and stuck cut out hearts on it. Several of the older children could write their own names inside it and others traced the letters.

The weather has been good to us this half term so the children have been playing outside quite a lot.

Thanks to the Parish Hall we now have a fenced off area which has provided a safe environment for our children and also for people who hold children’s birthday parties at the hall.
