The coming year is going to be a big one for everyone involved in Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, etc. as we will be celebrating the centenary of the establishment of the Guide Movement. Some of you will have been involved in the Scout Centenary in 2007 so you can see that, even 100 years ago, girls were keen to have the same opportunities as boys.
The celebrations kicked off on 5th September with many ‘launch parties’ around
the country and a contingent from Ballinger (both Rainbows and Brownies)
attended the Buckinghamshire launch at Wing.Later in the year we are planning a local party at Ballinger and we would be thrilled if past Rainbows, Brownies etc. would join us – perhaps bringing photos or other memorabilia. This is open to everyone so whether you did your guiding locally or elsewhere we would love to see you.
