The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning took place on Friday 25th September all over the country, and here in The Lee we did our bit for this amazing charity. During the summer I had a call from the county organiser asking how we raised so much money last year, apparently we were in the top 10 for Bucks! So no pressure for this year then... Annie Smith kindly hosted the event again and all our friends and neighbours turned out in force to support us on a glorious September day.
As Annie and I counted the donations and takings we held our breath, hoping we could match last year’s total of over £900. We were thrilled to go over £1,000 and double checked to see that the total was indeed £1,060! Subsequent donations meant that, to date, we have raised a huge £1,174, so thanks to everyone for your support!
