The Lee W.I.By Joyce Swain
The Lee W.I. met at the Parish Hall on Tuesday 10th November. As it was the occasion of the Annual Meeting, we began by singing ‘Jerusalem’. The secretary, Thea Blow, then read the record of the 2008 Annual Meeting. She noted the projected amble to Halton Woods on 17th November and a theatre outing to The Swan at High Wycombe in January 2010.
We then moved to the business of our Annual Meeting – adoption of the financial statement, committee’s annual report, President’s address, and announcement of a new Committee and President, all of whom were re-elected.
We concluded with our usual delicious tea.
