the lee wi Quizzical-Lee!
Compiled by Colin Sully

With the finishing line in sight, we rummage through the unfashionable end of the alphabet and once again combine letters, this time U and V (ultraviolet-lee?)

The answers all start with one of these letters and, as usual, relate in some way to The Lee parish.
  1. Shop chair rubs one up the wrong way (7 letters)
  2. Not maintained by the local council (9)
  3. Arbiter on the cricket green (6)
  4. Not rural (6)
  5. How old is the local church man? And where does he live? (8)
  6. Five and four roman birds for the Parish Clerk (3, 6)
  7. Harmonious performing locals (7, 5)
  8. Giving of their time freely (10)
  9. Going to the Parish Hall on election day (6)
  10. Age of the ‘new’ Church (9)
  11. You will probably find as many of these at the Flower Show as flowers (10)
