By the Editor The Spinal Injuries Association is seeking to raise funds to enable it to continue with its work in supporting people who become paralysed through spinal injury. It is encouraging people to hold fish and chip suppers either in their homes or, for larger groups, in village halls, on Friday 21st May. Those attending will obviously pay for the cost of the meal and drink but will also be expected to donate £5 (or more) for SIA. Last year over 80 suppers were held and the hope is to at least double the number this year. SIA will provide a fund raising pack containing hints, recipes, invitations and donation envelopes. Should any readers be interested in raising money for this worthwhile charity in this way, they should contact Elizabeth Wright on 0845 6786633 ext. 229. Alternatively you can email her at fishandchips@spinal.co.uk. |
