One for the Diary
By Catherine Larmour

As we lurch apace into Spring, think of Summer for a moment, and put Saturday 19th June into your diary/ Blackberry/ calendar. The-Lee church fête is set for that day and, as ever, there is much to look forward to. More details next month, but suffice to say that there is to be another tug-o-war contest (the more teams the merrier, so if your pub would like to take part...), as well as all the more peaceful traditions associated with the fête.

If you’re planning a clear-out over the Easter break and find that you have good quality but unwanted items to get rid of, then maybe you could donate them to the bric-a-brac stall. Please contact Nick Batty on 863275 if you’d like to hand over the goods.

We’re currently trying to find extra helpers for the day itself and also to sell raffle tickets/ collect raffle and tombola prizes around the parish before the big day; nothing too arduous, just a small, very local area per helper. If you can help, please call Pam (863275), Catherine (837309) or Rachel (837557). Thanks.

There will be details of the various collection points for other stalls in next month’s issue.
