flower show The Lee Flower Show: 17th July 2010
By Jonathan Batten

We had our first committee meeting of the year in early March to discuss progress on preparations for this year’s show.

The schedules have been drafted and there is a theme of the ‘Four Seasons’ running through the flower arranging and other classes. ‘Sherry, sherry baby’? No, not Frankie Valli and those four – spring, summer, autumn and winter!

The schedules will be printed and delivered to your doorsteps in early May, so then it’s over to you to start planning your entries.

The core aim of the Flower Show is to try and get as many of you as possible to enter a variety of produce, handicrafts, photographs, flower arranging, etc.

You can then enjoy friendly competition with your neighbour and we will have a tent full of exhibits offering a spectacular display for all to see.

Last year we donated money from the proceeds to:
  •  Lee Common School book fund
  •  The Lee Cricket Club
  •  Great Missenden School Rock Band
  •  Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
If you know of a good local cause that we may be able to help this year then do tell us.
