By Trish SwainAt the launch of the National Garden Scheme County leaflet in Ballinger Hall at the beginning of March, Judy and Tim Hart and Jon and I were presented with specially engraved trowels by Penny Snell, the Chairman of the NGS, to mark 10 years of opening our gardens for the ‘Yellow Book’.
She remarked that last year the NGS had its best year and was able to donate more money than ever before to the charities it supports.
Let’s hope that this year the sun shines for us on our Open Day on 23rd May from 2:00 – 6:00 pm, it would be a first! Even if it doesn’t we look forward to seeing you, don’t forget delicious home made cakes and tea will be served and there will be a plant stall too.
