Shop and work @ The LeeBy Barnaby Usborne The Shop continues to flourish with a steady stream of customers and a number of new products. We can even survive power-cuts, when the volunteers have been forced to use pen, paper and brains to replace the till and its computer. Unfortunately for us we are losing Maxine Haynes, our assistant manager, who is moving away from the area. We are looking for a replacement. Do you fancy the job? It is part time, paid and with flexible hours. The job is essentially to assist Geoff with the ordering, the work rota and with the books. Work in the shop can be great fun and of course you meet lots of wonderful people. Fear of a computer might prove a handicap. But if you are interested or would like to find out more, please speak to Geoff or Sally Knowles. We need you. So who was the lucky winner of the hamper? Many of you filled in a questionnaire to help us gauge your interest in local produce, a questionnaire funded by the Plunkett Foundation from whom we obtained generous funding ourselves. And the lucky winner was... Lita Turner from Swan Bottom. |
