Shop goes local
By Barnaby Usborne

The Shop now stocks a fuller range of postage stamps, including stamps for Europe and worldwide. We can weigh your parcels on our digital scales and, if there is a demand for the service, we may in the future be able to arrange for the parcels to be picked up as well.

Geoff and Laura have recently been buying more local produce and the shop layout now reflects this, with special shelves allocated to local and Fair Trade products. The shop has also bought a smart wooden trolley on which allotment-holders with surplus produce can display their wares. You can find out more from the shop.

On Saturday 18th September the shop will hold a special food-tasting to mark British Food Week. Come and sample the products and give us your views.

As you may have seen, we are advertising for more volunteers to work in the shop, particularly for the 7:00 am to 9:00 am session. Full training will be given and you will be eased in slowly. Why not discuss it with Geoff?
