As you will all know, Lee Common School is one of the focal points of our community. It is now short of a Community Governor as I have left the Board.
The duties are not onerous – there are three full Governors’ meetings over the academic year. Any new governor is required to participate in two training sessions which are held over the year, with an excellent lunch provided! Governors are also expected to make the occasional school visit.
Lee Common School is an excellent centre for learning which we are privileged to have in our parish. A Community Governor can be anyone who is not at present the parent of a pupil who attends Lee Common. It is a very fulfilling role.
