Excelling in EdinburghBy Peter Archer Last year Alexei Kalveks was singing alongside Katherine Jenkins at the Royal Albert Hall, and now we see him busking in Edinburgh! Alexei has become an Oxford undergraduate but is still singing. He sings with the University’s premier a cappella group, ‘Out of the Blue’ and was performing in their sell-out show at C Plaza on George Square. He is not the only young man from The Lee to have performed at the Fringe Festival. Comedian Alexis Dubus presented his stand–up routine, ‘A Surprisingly Tasteful Show about Nudity’ at the Tron each afternoon. He returned, in the guise of his alter ego, Marcel Lucont, to perform in a late night show at the Underbelly, Cowgate. |
