The Lee WI met on 11th September at the Parish Hall. We caught up on county news and learnt of opportunities to listen to the Chief Curator of the Royal Palaces and attend a harp and flute recital. We then went on to our own activities.
We were entertained by The Belmont Duo; this entailed music, poetry and prose about being a woman from youth to old age. We ended with our usual scrumptious tea.
Earlier, in August, we had held a coffee morning in our Treasurer Christine’s beautiful garden and had a very successful stall at The Lee Flower Show, making the Treasurer very happy.
