Fromelles Maire honours the men of The Lee

In a ceremony at The Lee on 21st July, the Maire of Fromelles – Jean-Gabriel Masson – spoke of the friendship between the two villages and of the history that brought them together. He laid a wreath at the memorial remembering the fallen of The Lee. The brief but moving ceremony was attended by residents of the two villages and supported by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant for Buckinghamshire, Simon Wilkinson, the Chair of The Lee Parish Council, Colin Sully, and the Chair of the ‘Association of the Friends of Fromelles’, John Ford.
