Wasps at the playground

We currently have a wasp infestation in the playground by the willow arch and fencing around the new fort.

This is not a nest as originally thought, but rather foraging wasps. They are at the base of the willow arch and are feeding off aphids that are feeding off the sap that is falling from the willow. Unfortunately the wasps cannot be dusted as the chemicals used by the pest controller cannot be used on exposed surfaces in a public area as this will pose a health hazard to children and other small animals that may step on it.

The area in question has now been cordoned off. Please make sure that children do not go near this area, as it is very likely they will be stung.
