Waste Collection Service Update – Sunday 29 March

Full details at www.chiltern.gov.uk/waste/update

Recycling (mixed and paper & card)

Service status
Both mixed recycling and paper & cardboard collections will resume from Monday 30 March.

The service was suspended from Monday 23 March – Friday 27 March. Please do not report a missed collection if you were due a collection in that week.

Advice for residents

If you are due a collection from Monday 30 March, please present your recycling containers on you normal scheduled collection day.

We are unable to return for containers that were not collected during the period of service suspension. We will collect a reasonable amount of extra recycling if presented loose in a reusable container (or cardboard box), on your next schedules collection.

Due to current social distancing measures, the Household Recycling Centres in Buckinghamshire are closed. Please do not visit these sites to dispose of your recycling.

Food Waste

Service status

The food waste recycling service is temporarily suspended until further notice.

Advice for residents

Some food waste recycling (e.g. fruit and vegetable peelings) can be home composted. Alternatively, food waste recycling can be disposed of in your general rubbish bin as a temporary measure.
