Fancy becoming a Parish Councillor?

The date by which ten electors were required to request an election for the previously advertised casual vacancies has passed without any such requests having been received, and the Parish Council is now in a position to co-opt two new councillors.

So… will it be you?

If you would like to get involved, feel you can make a contribution and a difference, then now’s the time to step forward. You can find some notes on what the council is, what it does and how you can get involved here.

The Parish Council is strictly apolitical, so no political affiliation is needed. It works best with councillors from a range of backgrounds and outlooks to bring as much different perspective as possible; the only experience necessary is a love of and wish to contribute to your village.

To find out more and discuss whether you think becoming a councillor is for you, please contact the Chair at  If you are already persuaded, then please submit your application by Monday 6th June to, briefly summarising your background, reasons for standing and what you believe you can contribute.

We look forward to hearing from you!
