Weather permitting, work will start today on improving the cobbled area around the Jubilee Well in Oxford Street. The loose mortar between the stones will be cleaned out before being replaced, whilst the uneven stones around the well will be reset. Work will only take 2-3 days, so should be completed early next week.

We have received notice that HS2 Ltd’s contractors will be carrying out ground investigations along the route (including within The Lee Parish) to obtain information about the ground conditions where the railway will be built.
