Described as ‘the prettiest village amongst a host of pretty villages in the Chilterns’, The Lee has become a great attraction for visitors whether travelling on foot, by bicycle or on horseback – as well as, of course, in motor cars.
Set high up in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) The Lee and the surrounding areas offer a huge variety of woodland and pastoral scenery.
The Lee Newsletter publishes an occasional series of local walks and rides in and around the Parish. The Newsletter also publishes articles on local wildlife, farming and the natural environment. The Chiltern Society publishes a variety of books and leaflets on the Chilterns, including detailed footpath and bridleway maps of the area. The Buckinghamshire Branch of the British Horse Society has a local bridleways group.
Whatever the season and whatever your mode of transport,
nature’s beauty is always on show in The Lee…
