Join in The Lee's celebration of the Platinum Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II.
Lunch
The Cock and Rabbit on The Lee green will be open for lunchtime serving Platinum Pints, Pimms and Platters. Booking is essential 01494 837540.
Games on the green @ 2:00 pm
Games from the 1950s including a tug of war.
Crowning glory @ 2:30 pm
Judging for the ‘Best Crown’ and ‘Queen for the Day’.
Jubi-Lee parade @ 3:00 pm
Everyone is welcome to be part of the parade from The Lee green to the Parish Hall. The theme is the 1950s in Red, White & Blue. Crowns to be worn.
Parish picnic @ 3:30 pm
Bring your own picnic and plates to share to the Parish Hall. Tables and chairs, marquees, decorations will be set up in the car park and on the grass.
Wine, beer and ice creams will be available to buy. Tea will be provided too.
The children’s entertainer, Magic Carl, will be performing between 4:00 pm and 4:45 pm.
Hopefully a choir (see page 5) plus live music during the picnic along with taped music across the decades for dancing too.
A display of memorabilia from days gone by in the village will be inside the Parish Hall.
Kwik-Cricket with bar and BBQ @ 6:00 pm
The Lee Cricket Club have invited the community to come and enjoy watching their Kwik-Cricket whilst enjoying their barbecue and well-stocked bar.
